Cashmere
Our cashmere comes from Hircus goats, raised in the highlands of inner Mongolia, an area with a warm climate in summer with extremely cold winters.
We wave the cashmere the same way as we wave the cotton but using a silk thread as the warp.
We have chosen a supplier who know exactly the origin of their raw materials, accurately track and monitor their partner farms, including the ethical treatment of animals. They are fully committed in supporting their breeding communities, and in the respect of the environment in which they live.
They hold two sustainability standard certifications:
Sustainable Fiber Alliance (SFA) aims to minimize the environmental impact of cashmere, safeguard livelihoods and ensure high animal welfare standards.
Responsible Cashmere Standard (RCS) that offers specific Sustainability guidelines for breeding of goats and to produce cashmere.
The origin of our cashmere yarn is a sustainable choice.
